This week BaristaCard quietly crossed three thousand stamps. Three thousand individual moments when a customer handed over a card, a barista scanned a code, and a small loyal habit got one notch deeper.

Three thousand is a strange number. Big enough to feel like something, small enough that the brain shrugs and moves on. So we made it visible.

Every stamp, as a cup

Picture a grid — sixty columns wide, fifty rows tall. Three thousand little espresso-coloured cups, each one a real stamp earned at a real café. Most of them are everyday coffees. A few — the cream-coloured ones — mark the moment someone earned a free drink. The terra-red ones are rarer still: a milestone, a return after a long pause, a story we don't get to see.

Stack them up — 360 metres tall

If you stacked all three thousand cups rim-to-base, the column would rise 360 metres into the sky.

  • Big Ben — 96 m
  • The Shard — 310 m
  • The Eiffel Tower — 330 m
  • 3,000 BaristaCard cups — 360 m

Three thousand coffees, in a single column, would clear London's tallest building.

Or fill a venue

Imagine every stamp is a person taking a seat. Three thousand people is not a chart on an admin panel — it's a venue full of regulars. About the seated capacity of the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith. Bigger than the London Palladium. Three times Union Chapel.

Across 30 countries

And those stamps weren't all collected on one street. They came from 71 cafés in 30 countries — from Buenos Aires to Melbourne, from Amsterdam to Mexico City, from Kyiv to Singapore. A coffee habit, it turns out, looks roughly the same wherever you brew it.

Why this matters

Loyalty isn't a feature — it's a count of how many times someone chose to come back. Three thousand returns is the whole product, made of three thousand small decisions by real people in real cafés.

Thank you to every café owner, barista and customer who put a stamp on the board this year. The next number is already on its way.
